I like to run.
No, scratch that. I LOVE to run.
I also love Disneyland and pretty much anything associated with Disney.
So when Andrea mentioned something about a friend of hers running something called a Dopey Challenge, I had to check it out. So that post led me to this website, which led me to the Princess Half Marathon, which took me to the Tink Half Marathon, which sparked an idea.
So Andrea and I (well…..me, gently encouraging Andrea to join me in my hair-brained scheme) have decided we will be training for the Tinkerbell Half Marathon in May of 2015. That gives me plenty of time to figure out how to run 13.1 miles while stopping for character photos, hanging out with my friends and enjoying the parks.
I’m super stoked.
So of course, I’ve built a pinterest board with RunDisney costume ideas, training schedules, running encouragement and all sorts of fun things. Anything that involves glitter and wings, I’m totally in.
I’ve also started Crossfit for some cross training, but I think that deserves its own post. As does my Disneyland trip, which will probably have to break up into a couple of posts…because it was so stupid amazing and I have a ridiculous amount of pictures to take.
