I am one busy lady. I know it’s been mentioned time and again on this blog, but seriously. I do not have time for shenanigans.
I have a “real job”, the blog, the vlog, the social media, the lipstick gig, two children, a cat, a house, and a partridge in a pear tree.
So when it comes to my quest to find a way that’s sustainable for me to lose some of my “mom bulk” (aka “baby weight for my baby who is now 7…OMG where did the time go?”), I need something that isn’t going to screw with my whole life.
Honestly, if it isn’t feasible or compatible with my life, I don’t want to waste my time.
And February is the worst month ever for me to stay on track – it’s my birthday, Valentine’s Day, The Day After Valentine’s Day (when all the candy goes on sale!) and by that time, I’m halfway through the month and covered in cake.
So when we were in Seattle eating all that delicious food, I could have gone off the deep end. There were PLENTY of cakes and cupcakes and donuts and all sorts of food I could have absolutely gorged myself on.
I’ve done it before. I derailed myself quite a few times with piles of discounted Valentine’s chocolate.
I was sweating this Seattle trip. I plan out my meals to a certain extent but I can go off the rails for Cupcake Royale. Plus, we were going to be hanging with my dear Kyle, and he and I can do some serious eating.
